Description

In this Dish TV Commercial that offers an iPad 2 with their DVR system, named the Hopper, the Dish New England family is watching the news in their kitchen with their newly obtained iPad. The female news reporter goes on to say “Next on news 7, why your kitchen may just be the most dangerous room in your house.” The father than states “We gotta get outta here.” One of his sons replies “Good thing Dish offered us this iPad when we signed up for the Hopper so we can watch all our live and recorded TV anywhere.” The New England family moves from the dangerous kitchen into their treehouse and continues to watch the news. The report continues “Next, why your treehouse is even more dangerous than your kitchen”. The father commands “We gotta get outta here!” and the son repeats his previous statement “Good thing Dish offered us this iPad when we signed up for the Hopper so we can watch all our live and recorded TV anywhere.” Now the father and his two sons hide under the bed in the guest room thinking that’s the safest place there could be, and continue to watch the news. The reporter then states “Think you’re safe under a queen sided bed in the guest room? Well you’re dead wrong.” The father just screams as loud as he can in fear for his life.

These commercials always made me feel like I was being sold some sort of adult male diaper. I’m glad they are gone. RIP bad commercial. May your desperate grabs at the elderly stay off my tv stations forever.

its not a bad deal if you want the IP2, as its effectively buying one for $300 over 12 months. If you dont want it, you can get that $25/mo off your first year’s service.
