Sprint Unlimited My Way Undead Zombie Commercial

A zombie stands in front a friendly red haired Sprint Representative moaning, growling, or screeching (whichever you think fits best). The redhead Sprint saleswoman, played by Laura Spencer, greets him with a smile “Can I help you?” The zombie coughs and immediately starts talking like a normal human being “Excuse me, hi. Uh, I wanted to find out about the unlimited for life guarantee.” The Sprint employee replies “Sure, Sprint is guaranteeing unlimited talk, text, and data for life.” The zombie seems pleased but has more questions “Cool, cool cool cool cool, and uh what if say technically you were not alive. Like, maybe you were, undead?” The Sprint saleswoman replies “Like a zombie.” The zombie somewhat offended, or at least pretending to be, suggests “Woooooaaahhhh, let’s not go putting labels on people.” Immediately after the zombie stops talking, his ear falls off of his head and lands on the floor. After a second the zombie confesses “… I’m a zombie.”

Hey SAPIENT LOGOS, I bet you must have grown up with some type of evil circus clown living under your bed. It’s ok buddy, just keep repeating to yourself out loud, “It’s only my imagination, it’s only my imagination!!!” Now turn the lights out and get some sleep. Weirdo!

  • KC says:

The best commercial ever! Hilarious….. Bring this sprint commercial back!

  • Cynicisme says:

Dumb. Set for the lowest uncommon denominator. Social fantasy for fools. But at least they didn’t make up a brainless word like “framily”. Oh wait….

  • Sally says:

The way the “zombie” says, “I’m a zombie” when the girl just looks at him after his “labels” rant makes me laugh out loud each time I see it. This commercial should win a CLIO.

  • This is my ALL TIME FAVE commercial. “WHOA lets not go putting labels on people” and when his ear drops off and her eyes drop from his face to the ground IS PRICELESS !!! It cracks me up EVERY TIME I watch it !!!! BEST ad and if I wasnt already committed to Verizon (AND if Sprint actually had coverage :-) I’D SWITCH TO SPRINT !!!!

  • Sapient Logos says:

I have been in the U.S. military, and am a former police officer and I have seen disgusting things, so this commercial could not gross me out. I have a great sense of humor, but I’m also not a pimple faced teenager in love with the zombie craze. I could not care less if adults like it, or you have a child of your own who has been amused by it. There are many children who are traumatized by the images of walking corpses with body parts falling off. Perhaps they have had a parent, grandparent, or sibling die, or are autistic and don’t understand the ‘humor’ and the idea of decaying dead bodies walking around out of their graves haunts their dreams after seeing this. Parents should not have to be forced to watch every commercial for censoring stupidity in advertising to the general public. Advertisers are sick and irresponsible for putting this on open television airways, and those who say you need a sense of humor are as immature and idiotic as the SPRINT executives. I will NEVER use sprint because they don’t care about the children who do NOT find these disturbing images amusing. You are playing to some who like it, but not all – and that just shows a lack of integrity.

Love this commercial! Excellent… Zombie consumer… Rational Choice theory… Buying into the collective unconscious idiot apocalypse. LOL. Things umberalles!!!

  • JAMES says:

unlimited for life guarantee even if your a zombie for ever and ever do you you get it? Forever! and ever unlimited for life pretty thats a sweet deal if you want to switch to Sprint!

  • Bradlee TheDawg says:

So F’ING SICK OF THIS COMMERCIAL. First of all – I hate the whole idea of zombies -rotting corpses belong 6′ down in the ground, period. Even though this commercial is mildly amusing, it’s terribly over-played. In our market it’s on several times an hour, no matter what cable or broadcast channel I’m watching. PLEASE SPRINT – GIVE US A BREAK

  • RShaw says:

Hate this commercial, it’s just as annoying as the Vonage commercials. The girl’s expression when the ear falls off is annoying. It’s not a look of concern or fear, it’s more like disbelief, and if we’re assuming that Sprint gets zombie customers, and the zombie is already afraid of being labeled, then the girl should show better customer service. Yes, this is stupid, but that’s the sort of stupid logic that happens when you use a zombie to sell telecommunications. The zombie’s admission is also annoying. It’s as if the commercial is making fun of the people who walk into a Sprint store. And before reading the comments here, I never even noticed the commercial was for Sprint. And the commercial would never make me think of using Sprint, and I’ve been done with my phone contract for a long time and could be in the market for a new plan. Or, Sprint could just make a dumb commercial that people like to record and watch over and over because they find it “funny.” Who knew a zombie dropping an ear is hilarious to people. Your choice, Sprint.

    • Alice says:

OH BOY, YOU HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR, I LOVE THIS COMMERCIAL IT IS FUNNY AND I LOVE THE GIRLS BIG BLUE EYES WHEN SHE LOOKS AT HIM AND HIS FALLING EAR. I LOVE IT!!

  • Jessie says:

My 4 yr old laughs so hard at this commercial. I don’t like the commercial, not big on zombies. But I leave it on bc he loves it. The first time was funny. I’m really hoping this is just for Halloween, and not The Walking Dead, I don’t think I can handle that much of this commercial. It’s just on too much.

  • Name says:

Absolutely terrible. Arrogant, presumptive crap interchange with no humor behind whatsoever. It’s on constantly, no matter what channel, and I have to switch as soon as I see it.

  • nEIL says:

ummmm, he’s a real doooooooooooooooosh bag

  • Jane says:

Love the zombie actor!!!! He is fabulous!!!

  • Carol L says:

I literally cannot stand this commercial. When it comes on I turn the channel. I didn’t know, until I looked it up on the internet today that it was even for Sprint – so it is ineffective as well as stupid and gross. It is over-played, and disgusting.

  • sonya says:

    LOVE THE COMMERCIAL! HILARIOUS!!!!!

  • Pete says:

That commercial is so stupid I can’t believe that Sprint spends the money to put it on the air. It is just plain disgusting!

  • jeffrey says:

how come the zombie can pronounce the word “unlimited” but he can’t pronounce the word “undead?” he says ON-dead and it drives me crazy. get “hooked on phonics,” zombie. you probably say “melk” instead of “milk,” too.

  • joanedaniel says:

Can’t stand this commercial! Wouldn’t make me buy a sprint phone for anything! :(

  • Griffin says:

Absolutely hate it. I change the channel when it comes on, which is usually 3 times an hour. I find it sophomoric and grating. I don’t find it gross, just idiotic.

  • alan mirza says:

Laura Spencer is one of the cutest, most naturally beautiful young woman I’ve ever seen on TV. The message itself that Sprint is communicating also rings positively with frustrated Verizon customers such as myself. I’m making the move to Sprint very soon.

  • Hard to entertain says:

BEST commercial out there. Well done, funny. I a struggling with the marketing techniques geared toward the younger consumer, but this old fart LOVEs it!!!!!

  • LO says:

This has Joss Whedon written all over it!
Reminds me off all the zombies in Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

  • dee bourne says:

I rewind my DVR to watch this commercial at least three times a day. Great comedy timing, great acting, makes me sad I don’t have good Sprint coverage.

  • DB says:

Whoever thinks that this commercial is gross and stupid your all freaking idiots! It’s just a commercial! In my opinion I think it’s funny, but there Is nothing gross about it. Ya whoop dee freakin DOO his ear fell off! But It’s not like a Saw movie where it shows the blood and flesh ripping so grow up and stop acting like little babies!

  • Maxine says:

I don’t like zombies at all but this commercial makes me laugh out loud every single time

  • JasonH says:

Love the commercial but my wife hates it. I’m grossed out more by feminine hygiene and catheter commercials. Those should be BANNED. The zombie makes me smile and having seen tons of internal and external cell phone commercials (used to work for radioshack and go to lots of meetings and see things that were never released) this is one of the coolest ones I’ve seen. As for small kids… why are you kids up during prime time hours anyway (the only time I see it)? Get those buggers to bed!

  • hula says:

I hate this commercial! There is ”No such things as zombies. I would never get a sprint cell phone based on this commercial!

  • WSimmons says:

My husband and I HATE this commercial—it is gross, makes me feel sick to my stomach, especially when parts of his face fall off and make disgusting sounds hitting the floor. It is one of the worst ever.

  • Lisa says:

I totally HATE this commercial. Everytime it comes on I have to look away or turn the tv. I hate it most when my 8 year old is watching tv and it comes on and scares him.

  • JJS says:

this commercial is not only brilliant, it’s hilarious. From the production, casting and acting… it’s a winner in my book for the best commercial of 2013. Anyone who says otherwise is clueless.

  • CarolO says:

I LOVE THIS COMMERICAL. Zombie gives me a chuckle every time I watch it. People just have no sense of humor anymore.

  • Jec says:

I don’t like watching a commercial about parts falling off a zombie. It grosses me out so much I just want to get over the commercial as fast as possible. It creeps me out. Its seriously disgusting.

  • bs says:

Nothing comic whatsoever in this commercial, its absolutely STUPID!!!!!!
I as well either mute it or change the channel as soon as it comes on.

  • Kat says:

I love this commercial! Brilliant idea, great spoof on zombies, exxellent comedic timing, and love it or hate it, folks, its got you talking about Sprint, which is excellent publicity for them. Normally I fast forward through commercials, but every time I see this one, I just have to rewind and watch it again. Kudos to the Sprint advertising team!

  • John Carter says:

Very creative commercial. Creepy and gross? Apparently, those making the comments regarding the zombie as over-the-top have never watched ‘The Walking Dead’ or any numerous movies of the genre. There are scarier things in a Scooby Doo cartoon (let me guess… you don’t let your kids watch those either?)

Zombies are all the fad right now although I’ve been a big fan long before the craze and will be after it’s faded away. The commercial didn’t convince me to switch to Sprint, but I found it clever, albeit it’s now a bit overplayed as to lose it’s appeal.

Also, if you’re going to decry that the number of Sprint subscribers is on the decline, then: it’s ‘losing’ it’s customers, not ‘loosing’.

  • Michael says:

The actor playing the zombie is Matthew Patrick Davis and the actress playing the Sprint store employee girl is Laura Spencer.

  • Sherry says:

I am wondering who plays the zombie?

  • Teri says:

I love this commercial!! When people said there was going to be that apocalypse December 21, 2012, and it did not happen…i was kinda sad…..i was really hoping for the zombies! LOL

  • Chris Shark says:

This commercial is a comedic success due to the timing and fluid banter between the actors.
At least they are trying something new and different. Good for them—I love the natural vibe of the zombie. As far as pushing Sprint products, not a strong as it could be at first watch, since I was focused so much on the enjoyment of the silliness, but hey, we are laughing and watching it over and over again. The message has sunken in, (much like his face), and it’s a fun, quick spot. I love how people are getting so revved up over this. Relax folks.

  • Sandy says:

My fav commercial !!!!!!!! Love it love zombies!!!

  • KCMO yo! says:

This commercial rapes my eyes and ears every time it comes on TV. I mute it and look away. Creepy zombie with an annoying scream. Sprint should fire the firm who created this sh*t. It’s not often a commercial gets so much NEGATIVE feedback from viewers. Believe me, it’s warranted… this commercial was a FAIL.

    • Carolyn Chace says:

I couldn’t agree more! This is so disturbing for those whom aren’t zombie watchers. I have 2 small toddlers and will not have the TV on around them because of this. I know my lil one’s will be scared. Can the offer be done already!! Or do it by mail..at least those who **LOVE** can look at something for 24 hours with a card and those whom don’t can simply throw away and not have to worry. Ug!

  • sarai says:

Best Sprint Commercial Ever!!! Love the Humor ;)

  • NESHA says:

I sympathize with everyone saying they don’t want small children seeing this commercial. I’m an adult and I was grossed out. It’s unnerving to see a menacing zombie straight out of a horror flick, screaming and howling on my TV screen like he’s ready to kill somebody. I spent the whole time thinking “Is he going to kill that poor redhead Sprint girl? What was Sprint thinking?” I don’t want their cell phone service… I just want their crappy commercial OFF my television.

  • Tina Benjamin says:

LOVE this commercial! Makes me giggle EVERY time!

  • LG says:

Distasteful and creepy/gross, especially for little kids – seriously inappropriate (nightmare inducing)

    • Jessie says:

My 4 yr old loves zombies. He also watches any scary movie that’s on. He loves anything spooky, as he says. He watched the movie “IT” before he was 3, and the watched it again not long after he was 3. Not all kids are scared of stuff like that. I was the same way, watched Nightmare on Elm Street when I was 3 and every yr after that. Watched “IT” when it came on (I believe it was mid 90s. But all kids are different.
my son laughs so hard every time the ear falls off

  • Zombies R us says:

This commercial is disgusting and should be taken off the air. What idiot thought this one up?

  • Casey says:

I absolutely despise this commercial! I won’t support Sprint or any of their products. I’m letting all my 400+ friends to boycott Sprint! Take it off the television! Most stupid commercial! What is Sprint thinking?

  • oldlady says:

I don’t like zombies….at least I didn’t until I saw this one!! I’m in love with this commercial and I might even consider the product – which I didn’t know until I watched this several times – BECAUSE I LOVE THIS ZOMBIE!!!!!! Way to go Sprint!!!

  • gerryt says:

No wonder Sprint is loosing customers.

    This commercial was absolutely stupid!

  • manyhatcat says:

Well… my friends and I thought it was hilarious, and memorable enough that I have now done an internet search for it in hopes of determining the name of the actor who played the zombie. If a commercial’s goal is to get people’s attention and be remembered, mission accomplished.

  • nema100 says:

Sprint isn’t winning any customers with this presentation. It gives the brand an unprofessional immature polish if they think this represents their value. I guess if anything it highlights how little they have to offer because all I remember is how poorly a company must be operating to move from pins dropping to ears dropping.
